MUSIC VIDEO PROJECT 2007/8

this video gave us inspiration for our own video as we liked the split screen method inparticularly. it used a simular storyline, a relationship being the main concept. we also looked at amy winehouse's video and this was also inspiratonal to our ideas, we liked the way she was walking down the street with other people bumbing into her, we thought this would be significant to our idea, as although the characters would feel like they were alone, everyone else is getting on with thier everyday lives, and are unaware of them and their issues. after discussing this video further, we decided that it would be difficult to achieve the effect of the street, as we wouldnt be able to control people and it would be hard to manage everyone in the scene. however,although we have used these videos to help our first thoughts and initial ideas, we want to make our video more unique, and these are some of our initial ideas:

idea 1:
both waking up, continuing their everyday routine, simultaneously. with either a split screen or merging from one to the other.
-waking up
-getting dressed
-brushing teeth
-making coffee.

idea 2:
photo of couple, lost from womans handbag, gets trampled on, wet and dirty, later on the man finds the picture, picks it up and feels even more heart broken.

idea 3:
flashbacks.
of couple when they were happily in love,
black and white?
have the final shot as freeze frame, which then takes the place in the photoframe which will be in shot in most scenes.

idea 4:
both driving in cars, again simultaneously.
see eachother, feel sad, drive off.

idea 5:
we found the david powter video had a stroyline as well as a separate individual person signing, we think this is a good idea as it will breaks the storyline up and making it more like a music video, rather than a movie that is fast paced and hard for the audience to understand.
