We found this video and it is a great exaple of what we want to do.
we particually like how the flashbacks/memorys are in a distiled colour also how the singer is the actor as well we may use this in our video having a male singer and women singer, then using the same male to act however with a different women. This may also create effects such as the man moving on to a new women rather than just seperation.

MORE VIDEO IDEAS

This video by the sugababes shows the sort of storyline vs singer that we want. for example, you hav the band, all set in two locations purely singing. then you have the male and female actors who act out the plot. so you have a contrast between band and narrative. we may chose this idea in our project as it makes it easier for the people acting and also avoids confusion.

ANIMATIC

We took pictures of some of our ideas for shots in our video. we like some of the shot arrangements and would like to condiser using some of these in our video for the final product. we also aim however, to come up with a few new ideas when out shooting next week.

This will be a lost love romantic heart breaking video that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

For our video, the outfits are vital therefore we have already decided what the characters are going to be wearing. The sets wil be located in a number of places including:
Train stations
Homes;Kitchen bedroom bathroom
City centres
Cars
It is a love narrative showing the lives of two people and how much they love each other. Alot of the things they do are done simultanoeusly, however they dont realise this. As the video progresses they miss each other and dwell on the fact that they dont have each other anymore. They eventually end up together after a whirlwind journey and all the hassle was worth it.
Some parts of the narrative will be shot as a split screen to show that the two characters are doing it at the same time or doing similar things but at different times. Other shot will be of the couple looking towards each other unbeknown to them. Other shots will be performing shots.

- TRAIN STATION ( Small, Quiet Station So That The Man Can Be Alone When Running After The Train)
..Girl gets on the train as the boy runs to get her, but misses.

..Couple making tea/coffee in the morning.

-TRAIN (Any journey back to cambridge that gives us enough time to film window shots)

to ensure that the lighting is correct, and the props look realistic and minimal, and so that wer have full access to the shots, we think that a department store would be ideal, some ideas include:

-home base
-habitat
-debenhams
-ikea

other locations:
- town (street)
- bedroom
-kitchen (coffee)
-bathroom (teeth brushing)
- on the road (at traffic lights where the couple see eachother)

dress code ideas:

smart shots- man in jeans a suit jacket
girl in dress and heels etc.
casual clothing shot- winter clothes
man- long winter coat, scarf.
woman- big grey coat, tights and high heels

Videos That Inspired Us

We used this video as our inspiration as the relationship portrayed between man & woman is similar to one we hope to portray. It starts off from when they wake up and through their daily routines which is also a similar feature to our ideas so far.


This is the video of the song which we found on 'youtube.com'..we are unsure as to if this is the real band or not.


This Amy Whinehouse video of her walking through the crowds is a really good starting point, it also makes the singer feel even more isolated. However we do feel it may be hard to acheive.


This video of Mel C & Brian Adams really shows the relationship again between a couple who are missing eachother. An idea we really like is when the couple are in the same place but not shot together.
